Twiixters is a “social networking group” for tech professionals in the Charleston, SC area.

For a small-ish town, Charleston has several IT departments, Service providers, Software development companies, Internet companies, Design firms, Freelancers and many other technical areas which employ a bunch of people. We thought it would be a good idea to connect those people and start a conversation between folks who normally wouldn’t talk to each other.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could get together with like-minded geeks and solve the world’s problems? Or at least resolve the issue with your email server, web site design, database, or CRM code? We think so – and we’re techies like you.

We’re not too picky about who joins us – just be prepared to talk about what you do, what you want to do, and make some good contacts in the industry. If you’re not a techie, you’ll likely get bored with the conversation quickly.

The plan is to meet quarterly in the evening at a local hangout. The locale will change each time and we’ll be sure to give you plenty of notice as to where and when the next event is. If people like getting together and want to do more of it, we can coordinate additional events for the whole group or for specialized groups. We are here to help.
